Child tread softly through this wood
you poor sweet thing you smell so good
i could not miss you standing there
with scarlet red atop you hair
were you not warned of beasts and fiends
like me who snatch such pretty young things
who could resist that doe eyed stare
your pink flushed cheeks or silken hair
and i doubt those fine legs would carry you far
from my violent demeanor known only to mar
the weak and innocent creatures like you
and your quivering shoulders suggest you rue
ever coming here, and perhaps you should
for here, before me where you once stood

....they'll find nothing but your cold red blood
and whatever is left of that little red hood

It's beautiful, all of it ~ I adore the rhyme scheme of your poem; seems very child-oriented, yet it's so dark and grim. Very Tim Burton-esque x3

I also just ADORE the illustration! D: The expressions are gorgeously done, and your sketches are always so clean and pretty~ I'm always so jealous of your pencil work x3 I haven't sat down and done a detailed pencil work until today for Gov. class xD Maybe I'll start again...you're quite inspirational pencil-wise~ And poetry-wise, you're so good with it! D:< I really hope that you illustrate books one day Bekah <3 Or maybe even write&illustrate? That would be so cool! You know I'd be the first in line to buy it x3 behind your family xD they'd beat me to it xD
